Mel Gibberish single handedly wins the American Revolution, unites the classes, frees the slaves and repopulates the country. What a man! Based loosely on the real Swamp Fox Daniel Morgan. Actually not a bad recreation of the Battle of the Cowpens the only real original American tactical victory of tge war.

Honestly it’s pretty well done and it’s disappointing they don’t make many historical fiction films like this anymore. The plot moved quickly, there were compelling main characters, the villain was incredibly good, and the production quality and special effects were great. I’d give it 4.5 or 5 stars.

One of the most bold, inspiring and heartwarming war epics ever, the patriot is a masterpiece from start to finish from the realistic and convincing battle scenes to the stellar performances from Mel Gibson and the rest of the cast, Roland emmerich should be proud of himself for making this intelligent, powerful, imaginative, soulful and profound creative work of cinemetic perfection, Jason Isaac’s plays a great villain I love the way the British are depicted as menacing and accurate to the way the behaved during the war. Emmerich knows how to make a historical action film with passion, valor, inspiration, and having memorable and strong charachteristics, along with muscular narrative, dramatic tension, and a sense of thought that makes a mainstream blockbuster film astonishing and a crowning achievement, this film is a must watch on Fourth of July and it represents the best and everything great about America every American and historian should see this film it is a staggeringly powerful work of film this is the best war movie epic next to saving private Ryan and one of the best films of the early 2000s all hail America 🇺🇸 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸 and god bless you all 10/10
