      Critics Consensus

The plot and basis for jokes are slight, but Saving Grace is indeed saved by some charming performances, most notably Brenda Blethyn's.

Alejandro E It's not easy being green. The friendly side of marijuana in a British comedy with no other purpose than to entertain and it does it quite well, enough to easily bring out more than one smile. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/09/24 Full Review dave j After Grace (Brenda Blethyn) hence the title attending the funeral of her late husband's passing soon finds out later that he left her with a great amount of debt. And because she has no job nor experience and a senior citizen she gets herself involve in the marijuana business suggested by her hired gardener, friend and confident, Mathew played by Craig Ferguson who was also credited as co-producer and co-writer. Michael Thomson BBC.com The script has been worked on to great effect so that the timing of the comedy is just right, the punchlines are delivered in all the proper places, and there is breathing space in between the bouts of increasing comic madness.
