Tobe Hooper, for some reason, decided to take a giant shit on one of my favorite horror genres, the killer crocodile genre, by releasing this cheap disasterpiece. Bitchy characters, campy acting and low quality special effects, there's a reason why this film went directly to DVD. Just look at the cover itself, it's hand draw, so that really says something about the film itself. Oh yeah, and the women of the cover has nothing to do with the film itself. It's campy fun in a way, but still a time waster.

It has the characters of a slasher flick, but with a giant crocodile for the killer. The practical effects are fun, but the computer animation ruins the effect. As a creature feature, it's fun enough to watch, but otherwise it won't offer up enough for wholesome entertainment.

Crocodile remains a shocking depiction of day-to-day struggles in a dog-eat-dog world. It also comes with one of those hauntingly beautiful endings for which Kim has since become rightly famous.
