Based loosely on a Greek myth, this modern-day take on the story of Medea finds Julia (Arcelia Ramírez) working as a healer and abortionist to make money to support her family. Her life spirals out of control when her husband leaves her for a younger woman. The woman's father is Julia's landlord, who evicts her from the building. In addition, Julia's husband is trying to get custody of their children. Her godmother (Patricia Reyes Spíndola) helps her retaliate.
