Audience Member I always thought this film was way under appreciated. A very unique story, wonderfully cast, shot in and around Big Bend and Terlingua, Texas. It's dark and quite funny at times with great characters. I've probably watched it fifty times. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/13/23 Full Review Audience Member Hands down one of the worst movies. I honestly couldn't find a single good thing to say about it. Some of the shots were ok i guess? Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/18/23 Full Review Audience Member Reminds one of the 60's spaghetti western. Two young brothers witness their grandfather (Willie Nelson) gunned down in cold-blood. They attempt to hide but the baddies kidnap the older brother and the younger brother is taken in by a passing priest. They grow up in different environments and run across each other 13 years later. The older brother (Brad Hunt) is now a cold-blooded killer himself and known as the Morphinist. The younger brother (Daniel Lepaine - the Journeyman)rides the west searching for his brother. This movie is shot in west Texas and the set and costumes are great. If you like westerns, you'll like this movie. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/25/23 Full Review Audience Member I liked this movie from the very beginning. The set, costume ect. were great. Two young brothers were messing around in the corral when some men came riding up to their house. Willie Nelson (the kids grandfather) called the boys to come back to the house (a good ways from the corral), but before they even got close the riders gunned down Willie. Scared, the boys tried to hide in the outhouse. The outlaws saw them trying to hide and rousted the older boy out. For a young boy (12 or so) he put up a good fight, but eventually the outlaws roped and drug the boy behind their horses and then kidnapped him. Later a priest came by and found the younger brother still hiding in the outhouse and took him in. The movie then skipped 13 years and now the brothers were in their young twenties. Thirteen years later, the older boy (Brad Hunt) is known as the Morphinist--a morphine addict who is also a cold-blooded killer. The younger brother (Daniel Lapaine) is The Journeyman, a silent type who tracks his brother in hopes of redeeming his soul. I am not gonna say anymore, except that I liked the story line and the set. Looked more like the old west than most movies. Watch it if you like westerns! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/07/23 Full Review Audience Member Really liked this western...shoot em up in more ways than one from the first scene. Have watched now 3 times & still get more from it.
