David Rooney Hollywood Reporter There are few surprises in Mary Tobler and Savoca's script as it progresses, but the director has always shown skill at accessing the inner lives of women. Sep 19, 2011 Full Review Manohla Dargis Los Angeles Times The film attempts to affect an air of dispassionate objectivity, but generally comes across as an exercise in exploitation. Rated: 1/5 Jun 24, 2004 Full Review V.A. Musetto New York Post To most New Yorkers, the street addicts they encounter daily are nameless and faceless, and Union Square helps to humanize them. Rated: 3/4 May 28, 2004 Full Review Eric Monder Film Journal International An eye-opening view of people usually ignored or taken for granted. Aug 8, 2004 Full Review John Patterson L.A. Weekly Without a well-delineated political or social framework, Union Square offers little that we didn't already know from, say, The Panic in Needle Park or Christiane F. Jun 23, 2004 Full Review David Sterritt Christian Science Monitor The material is vivid and harrowing, although the movie provides little analysis or larger-scale context. Rated: 3/4 May 27, 2004 Full Review Read all reviews

Audience Member Stephen is an assclown !!! In all seriousness tho, Stephen spent about 9 months following around 7 homeless junkies with promises of payment (as little as it might have been depending on how sales went), and they went GREAT !!! but Stephen took no intiative and made no effort to hold up to his end of the deal. This film was poorly organized and might not even had ever been seen by others if it wasn't for Lisa who i dont believe gets enough credit tho I know she deserves it. I have made several attempts at contacting Stephen thru the movies actual HOME sight (www.unionsquarethemovie.com) but he will not return my messages and has proven himself to be a greedy exploiting scumbag !!! My name is Mike Stealth aka Stealth of the L.E.S. and 1 of 7 that was taken advantage of by Stephen for this horrible film that has nothing to offer any one else. Thank you for reading this review .. if anyone has knowledge of Stephens whereabouts feel free to send me a message at mstealth81@yahoo.com .. please and thanks it is for a good cause ...
