rory s I liked the movie. It was a clever movie. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member More dramatic than the Edinburgh festival ever gets, the ensemble plot isn't bad, but most of the characters are annoying. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/06/23 Full Review Audience Member actually saw a scene of this getting filmed one night. decent. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Audience Member I might be a bit biased because I'm an Edinburgh resident but I love this film. It makes me feel so much better about having to live in Edinburgh in August. Schadenfreude is a wonderful thing! It also seems to manage to capture the mad mood of the city during the Festival and is laugh out loud funny though. Bias aside it's a delightful quirky little black comedy. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/20/23 Full Review Audience Member This film isn't very good. It tries too hard be an English dogme comedy but this is no Festen, its more like Mike Figgis's Hotel and if you know what im taking about, you know that that's not a good thing. Highlights are Chris O'Dowd & Clive Russell's performances, a star each! Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/11/23 Full Review Audience Member This movie is a bit episodic but there are some absolute gems in there, especially the play by the Canadian troupe. The Amazon.co.uk reviews and the IMDB reviews and discussion threads are some of the funniest reads I've had in a bit. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/14/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Empire Magazine The atmosphere of the festival is effectively portrayed ... and there are few decent laughs. Rated: 3/5 Apr 1, 2006 Full Review Stella Papamichael BBC.com Festival will surely tickle your funny bone. Rated: 3/5 Aug 27, 2005 Full Review Paul Dale The List Acidic, dyspeptic, darkly funny and filthily rude, Festival is that rare British beast: a good ensemble drama. Rated: 4/5 Apr 25, 2019 Full Review Jason Gorber Film Scouts Here's a tip: when making a film about the comedy portion of the Fringe Festival of Edinburgh, make it funny. Rated: F Jun 21, 2007 Full Review ScreenAnarchy For the most part, the stories are completely unrelated and therefore suffer from a feeling that some of the strands are completely redundant. Apr 17, 2007 Full Review Michael Ferraro Film Threat Festival is like the Nashville of the fringe scene; a multi-character exercise that shows writer/director Annie Griffin's wonderful ability to juggle a large cast with an enjoyable story and constant laughs.
