Audience Member Poor production, poor editing, and poor cast aside, Threat is an ultra indie film with a chip on it's roughly hewn shoulder. But this grim and gritty tale of nihilism needs more structural coherence to convey its message effectively. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/25/23 Full Review Audience Member An independant movie that looks and feels like an independant movie. Shaky camera work, amateur actors and heavy handed script dialogue from writers who want to make obvious points. The points here... Jim is a nihilist who doesn't care about anything, His co-worker Fred is a poetic conspiracy theorist. We get by on Fred and Jim's debates for a while. We meet Fred's drinking buddies and his family. And we meet Jim's straight edge gang of youths. Well, the two clans eventually come together- and they don't like each other much. The best part of the movie is the last scene. An epilogue about what a couple of our stars do with their lives after the dust of this movie settles. It looks like a thoroughly more entertaining film, which doesn't help but underline the problems that we get in the main film. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/23/23 Full Review Audience Member It is not as good as i thought it could have been. It follows in the same stylistic vein of Kids. This is not a blockbuster. It's seriously a low budget movie. All of the actors were also support staff when they were off-camera. so... honestly, i didn't hate it. the soundtrack is great though. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/11/23 Full Review Audience Member Not as good as I thought it was going to be but still very well done. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/24/23 Full Review Audience Member the climax is pure violence (some of which is not explained or seemingly unprovoked) but at the end of the day, there is some sort of message in this movie. Multiple viewings are needed. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/29/23 Full Review Read all reviews
