pasha a My Favourite. Brilliant and very true! Each episode is a real life and really we should admire Mania for this masterpiece. I hope her luck and health. The film relies entirely on dialogue, forgetting completely that a film is told visually. People were literally walking out of the theater; ironically, director Mania Akbari talked about wanting to walk out of a film at the San Sebastian Film Fest, but not doing so due to the director being present at the screening (she left the theater for this reason, but came back for the Q&A). One Iranian man from the audience essentially said, "Why didn't you record an audiotape instead?" She responded in a seemingly serene manner, while her friends stared at the man furiously and in disgust. I was terribly disappointed by this terrible example of Iranian cinema trying to expose the wrongdoings of the nation. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/26/23 Full Review Read all reviews
