Rick Groen Globe and Mail The story is rather contrived, the theme is awfully sonorous, the direction is merely competent, and one of the lead actors is downright bland -- all in all, That Beautiful Somewhere is something of a nowhere film. Rated: 2/4 Apr 24, 2007 Full Review Susan Walker Toronto Star [Actor] Dupuis's presence obscures some of the flaws in this film, and makes the other actors look better than they otherwise might have appeared. Rated: 2.5/4 Apr 24, 2007 Full Review Mike Massie Gone With The Twins Its cumbersome execution and winding narrative will lose audiences long before its deeply moving finale. Rated: 5/10 Nov 28, 2020 Full Review Jim Slotek Jam! Movies Yes, it's another movie from Canada -- the unhappiest place on Earth! Rated: 2.5/5 Apr 24, 2007 Full Review Read all reviews

Audience Member This could have been a great film....but the acting is pitiful. Roy Dupuis, as beautiful as he is to look at, gives a poor performance. The relationship between the two central characters is totally unbelievable, and neither are interesting. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/15/23 Full Review Audience Member This movie was so emotional really tugs at your heart strings. Roy Dupius really show us his emotional side and personal side to his acting. It also shows how all people are alike and we all have secrets that drives us closer together. People who are otherwise different are actually the same in that they all have demons and skeletons in the closet. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/11/23 Full Review Audience Member I'm a huge Roy Dupuis fan so I'll admit to being a bit biased but it's a touching movie. Doesn't have the ending I'd like but knew it was coming! Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/19/23 Full Review Audience Member This movie is a bit dark... Heartwrenching and sometimes hard to watch. But it is a beautiful film... beautiful story. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/02/23 Full Review Audience Member A bit slow but pretty good Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Audience Member So not what the descriptions suggest..., but it does deal with chronic migraines, which makes it potentially interesting for anyone interested in that -- otherwise, pretty bad acting and plot development.
