Minimal amounts of gore interspersed between scenes of mediocre rednecks terrorizing the victims. None of it is scary, and the climax isn't as rewarding as purported by critics. It doesn't come close to Texas Chainsaw, Wrong Turn, or any Rob Zombie film, or even Wolf Creek. There's some decent camerawork and acting. See more UnleashedTraining101 04/06/2024 I'm an Aussie and I love to see decent Aussie movies. The plot was derivative, but the violence and overall tone was very well done. I wasn't looking for Shawshank Redemption, I was looking for well crafted horror escapism. This film delivered the goods in minimalist format. But one thing that annoyed me greatly was when they catch a snapper while fishing and he says it's a flathead. They could've used one minute on Google to get that part right.
