They scared me. I would definitely sleep with the lights on and have friends stay too. It is just so creepy. If I had this "sight" I would want to be in an asylum very heavily sedated or dead. It is a good movie and I love the way it ends. I am going to get a copy of this film and look for more by this director and screenwriter. As others have said, very low key, almost poor acting, but it's a great set up for the intense "scary" parts. If you are a jumper, you most likely will have a few jumps. The sound is a little odd. Sometimes it's real quiet, but when an alarm goes off or a ghost appears, it can almost blast your face off with the loudness. I watched at 3am... hope the loudness didn't upset my upstairs neighbors. The ending left me with a lot of unanswered questions. I figured I followed the movie very well even though it seemed to have very sporadic flashbacks that you don't know are real or dellusions. It's hard to tell whether the studio attempted to spin it as a ghosts/dead horror film or the writer actually intended it to be that way, but as it is, it's not the typical ghosts/spirits/dead horror story.
