Shame on the filmmakers for reducing one of the main characters to an incessantly whimpering, hyperventilating embodiment of fingernails on a chalkboard for what feels like the final third of the film. Go to Full Review

Even with the overacting, I think Quarantine stands out as one of the classic found footage examples. If I had to point people to a movie to watch, I would point them at REC before this. You can find REC right now on prime for a few bucks. Go to Full Review

Oz S Oct 19 Quarantine had potential but it completely missed the mark for me. I liked the overall vibe and atmosphere, it definitely tries to create tension and chaos, but everything else fell flat. The acting was terrible, the characters felt unrealistic, and the whole idea of locking down one building while police and firefighters are trapped inside without any information just didn’t make sense. It’s hard to stay invested when the story logic is so weak. The ending wasn’t satisfying either, and while I understand this is a remake of another film, I still expected much more. Overall, a disappointing experience that could have been so much better. See more Terry S Oct 2 Well-done enough to be believable and sure as hell unpredictable!! See more lisa l Oct 1 Absolutely cool and fast-moving. The idea of rats and dogs being the carriers of a rabies virus that mutates people into zombies is truly unique. I loved this flick! See more Alec B @AlecMichaelB Jul 23 Quarantine has a promising start, using what was then a newer horror style that we now call "found-footage" to build claustrophobic tension and a few genuine scares. Jennifer Carpenter begins as a confident survivor type, and the film's early pacing effectively captures a sense of spiraling panic. But as the story progresses, it becomes clear that Quarantine is more style than substance. The film largely abandons character development in favor of repetitive jump scares, and its shaky cam approach often obscures rather than enhances the action. As a near shot-for-shot remake of Spain’s REC, it struggles to justify its existence—offering little new for horror fans beyond louder screams and more blood. See more Kauã M May 21 A total lack of respect for the original work and everything it created, this film is a disgrace in every aspect, it doesn't even get the simplest thing right, which is creating tension through the environment and sound, in addition to creating a useless and unbearable protagonist. See more Jeepers C Apr 27 I liked thus movie way better then that overhyped Mads movie with a higher rating on Rt. At least, I could care about Jennifer Carpenter's character in this movie. I really liked this one. See more Read all reviews
