william k The plot is overladen and quite silly, but but Cimono gives it style and a heartfelt execution with good landscape photography and a believable performance by Harrelson. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Pathetic. Poorly written and even more poorly acted. Harrelson needs to find a real job. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/18/23 Full Review Audience Member Story was ok but music was terrible-ruined the mood completely. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 12/13/18 Full Review Audience Member Uncomfortably disturbed. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/16/23 Full Review Audience Member An thoroughly enjoyable yet predictable movie. Jon Seda is excellent as Blue, the confused teenager who wants nothing more than to heal himself and make things right before he dies. Woody Harrelson is good as the doctor more interested in his promotion and his new house. The two form an unlikely partnership and respect for each other. I would recommend this movie as a pleasant way to pass a bit of time. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/25/23 Full Review Audience Member Feels like it may have been shelved for a while. L.A. doctor Michael Reynolds (Woody Harrelson) is taken hostage by terminally ill criminal Brandon Monroe (Jon Seda), so that Monroe can reach a spiritual healing ground. Both Charles Leavitt's script and Cimino's visuals have false notes (Maurice Jarre's score is particularly ill-fitting), but the film does improve once the story leaves California and hits the wide open spaces. Neither Harrelson nor Seda may have been ideal casting for their roles, but their relationship does bring emotion to the buddy-film template.
