Audience Member I actually found this movie a little weird. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 02/15/23 Full Review Audience Member I always enjoy movies that are quirky beyond the norm and this movie is full of such. The lead characters all managed to pull off very different roles while making me smile almost after every sentence. I am still smiling and will remember many lines of dialogue for years to come. Looking forward to more movies from this writer. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/03/23 Full Review Audience Member I stumbled upon this movie completely unexpectedly and it was...lovely by surprise. Quirky and smart, a true indie at heart. It doesn't over-analyze, over-promote or over-do it, and it doesn't make everything convenient and with a happy ending. It stops exactly when and where it should and it doesn't tire the viewer. The performances are great (with Reg Rogers and Dallas Roberts being my two personal favorite), and you can't help but appreciate the uniqueness and difference of it. Great soundtrack and score, and a brilliant ending. Enjoy the "neverything" of it, and let the characters touch your heart. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/03/23 Full Review Audience Member Ok, I gave 4 stars, because the aftertaste of this movie is much to the mind-pallette as any food for thought can be! I adore a good psychological look into one's persona & this provided. Good acting, & directing. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/22/23 Full Review Audience Member Fucking awesome. And Reg Rogers was brilliant. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/03/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Rich Cline Shadows on the Wall One of those wilfully quirky movies that we're not quite sure what to do with, this film actually gets under our skin as it goes along Rated: 3.5/5 Jul 14, 2010 Full Review Mark Pfeiffer Reel Times: Reflections on Cinema Lovely by Surprise's aggressive quirkiness is off-putting from the get-go and the biggest barrier to engaging with the film. Rated: D+ Jan 31, 2010 Full Review Mark R. Leeper rec.arts.movies.reviews The film is bizarre and at times touching, but in the end leaves the viewer perplexed and a little unsatisfied with the stories.
