Audience Member http://filmreviewsnsuch.blogspot.com/2011/10/earth-days.html Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/25/23 Full Review Audience Member great doc recalls the modern ecological movement from "silent spring' rachel carson to modern day. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/25/23 Full Review Audience Member I used to think documentaries were boring, three-hour torturous snoozefests. This movie changed my perspective. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/15/23 Full Review Audience Member Who would have thought that Nixon actually were sort of pioneer in bringing environmental acts and policies in White House? I also thought him as "bad" president but this movie helped to show another side of him. Same goes for Carter. Had he been re-elected, environmental issue at this decade will be so far different from current. A lot of information but kind of repetitive.. Have watched too much of these types of documentaries? Ok, information given but what are we going to do about it? Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/03/23 Full Review Audience Member Not bad as far as basics on US environmental policy. I'll never see Nixon in the same way! Worth a watch. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/03/23 Full Review Audience Member Great documentary on the history of the U.S. environmental movement and the beginings of Earth Day in 1970. My company aired this in our Board Room during lunch time today, complete w/ earth cookies to celebrates the 40th anniversary of Earth Day. Worth a watch. John Hartl Seattle Times If you're feeling nostalgic for a time when the environmental movement was something everyone embraced, Robert Stone's Earth Days is bound to comfort -- and alarm. Rated: 3/4 Dec 10, 2009 Full Review Marc Savlov Austin Chronicle Considering the environmental glass houses we've constructed around us, one comes away from Earth Days wondering if it's not past time for some bricks to be slung, metaphorical or otherwise. Rated: 3.5/5 Oct 30, 2009 Full Review Joe Williams St. Louis Post-Dispatch Honoring the heroes of the environmental movement is clearly appropriate, but getting mired in nostalgia is a dirty shame. Rated: 2.5/4 Oct 29, 2009 Full Review Laura Hiros Rincón de cine In a time when being "green" is fashionable they forget the efforts of thousands of people who have fought for generations to raise awareness in the abysmal apathy of conformism... [Full review in Spanish] Rated: 2/5 Mar 19, 2018 Full Review Dorothy Woodend The Tyee (British Columbia) Earth Days is indicative of some of the most troubling aspects of any movement started and run by humans, namely hubris, ego, self-righteousness and bombast, etc. This is not to say you shouldn't go and see the film.
