Kjerstin Johnson Bitch Media Find one review that doesn't say that Hit Girl steals the show. She gets the best scenes, and actually complicates the plot... So, I guess you don't have to pass on Kick-Ass. Dec 23, 2020 Full Review Deborah Ross The Spectator The plot doesn't add up to much, but doesn't have to, as this is a film defined by its high-energy, go-for-it-whatever, convention-toppling spirit. Aug 30, 2018 Full Review Candice Frederick Reel Talk Online f you're one of the many nerdy high school boys plagued with unpopularity and pimples, you'll adore the underdog story of Kick-Ass. But if you're one of the rest of us, you probably won't. Rated: C- Sep 11, 2017 Full Review Brian Eggert Deep Focus Review Given the safe, PG-13-rated tenor of most superhero movies today, something offbeat (and R-rated) like Kick-Ass comes as a shock, albeit a welcome one. Rated: 3/4 Aug 22, 2023 Full Review Rene Jordan El Nuevo Herald (Miami) Everything is clever, with irreverent impertinence… devilishly fun. [Full review in Spanish] Jul 19, 2022 Full Review Fico Cangiano CineXpress Podcast Kick-Ass entertainingly and effectively subverts the superhero genre, while providing a hilarious comic book reality check. Craig B Watched this soooo many times and still love every minute of it. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/11/24 Full Review Alan T This feels more of a realistic superhero movie if you wanna be a superhero in the real world. No superpowers, just your wits and guts and expect to get hurt really bad. Despite the bloody violence, it's an excellent movie to show that being a superhero is not that easy as it sounds, especially compared to Avengers or Justice League. 8/10. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 03/27/24 Full Review Alilali42 Perfect. even doh it didn't have an avenge scene or whatever. As many movies do. You avenge your dead like batman n others. But kick ass, Just Kicks Ass Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 03/13/24 Full Review Dave B A lot of fun. The level of focus on the action, mixed with sarcastic humor, an energetic score, and well choregraphed fight scenes, seems the foundation of many quality movies that follow, including in the MCU, even if toned down for general audiences. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/05/24 Full Review Gabriel Valentim Ótimo filme! Recomendo muito assistir. É um filme divertido, com violência e humor na medida. Mesmo pra quem não gosta de filmes de Super-herói, eu recomendo dar uma chance a esse aqui. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/29/24 Full Review KB B This was one of my all time favorites. I own it on DVD and still watch it occasionally. I really enjoy seeing family and friends initial reaction to this film. Most really like it. It's definitely worth the watch.
