Kjerstin Johnson Bitch Media Find one review that doesn't say that Hit Girl steals the show. She gets the best scenes, and actually complicates the plot... So, I guess you don't have to pass on Kick-Ass. Dec 23, 2020 Full Review Deborah Ross The Spectator The plot doesn't add up to much, but doesn't have to, as this is a film defined by its high-energy, go-for-it-whatever, convention-toppling spirit. Aug 30, 2018 Full Review Candice Frederick Reel Talk Online f you're one of the many nerdy high school boys plagued with unpopularity and pimples, you'll adore the underdog story of Kick-Ass. But if you're one of the rest of us, you probably won't. Rated: C- Sep 11, 2017 Full Review Brian Eggert Deep Focus Review Given the safe, PG-13-rated tenor of most superhero movies today, something offbeat (and R-rated) like Kick-Ass comes as a shock, albeit a welcome one. Arlo K "Kick-Ass" is an unapologetically fun and bold superhero movie that flips the genre on its head. With its dark humor, over-the-top action, and quirky characters, it delivers a wild ride that's as entertaining as it is outrageous. Aaron Taylor-Johnson is great as the awkward, well-meaning Dave, but it's Chloe Grace Moretz as the foul-mouthed, fearless Hit-Girl who steals the show with her incredible fight scenes and sharp wit. The movie balances its satirical tone with genuinely heartfelt moments, making it more than just a parody. While it’s definitely not for the faint of heart, "Kick-Ass" is a refreshingly unique take on the superhero story that’s both chaotic and oddly charming. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/06/25 Full Review Nick R A fun and unique take on the super-hero genre. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 12/13/24 Full Review Jelisije J An instant classic of a dark superhero film. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 10/19/24 Full Review BATJOHN T I really enjoyed this movie a lot more than I thought I would. The cast is great and the action is top notch. The humor is good as well. Another detail I would like to point out about the movie is how vibrant and bright the colors are in this movie. It made it feel like a comic book come to life which was awesome!! I don’t really have any negatives on the movie so definitely check this out if you’re into R-rated superhero action comedies like Deadpool. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 09/07/24 Full Review Faiz D A solid entertainer. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 08/29/24 Full Review Brody R Excellent. One of my favorite films ever.
