Timothy P I found it interesting and entertaining and creepy, but so much made no sense. First of all, the mom would certainly not be treating her children as their psychiatrist or using them to study, highly unethical. And then dad tried to do a dyi exorcism lol...And they kept pretending nothing was wrong even after the kids murdered the cat and tried to eat each other. Like.... get a clue. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 10/22/24 Full Review Ray M Very disturbing movie Problem I had was this could happen in this day and age. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 08/11/24 Full Review Tom F Perhaps I would have liked this movie if I could have heard the dialogue, but the sound was so bad you couldn't understand 90% of the movie! The mother was the worst, she mumbled her way through the movie, often times looking away from the camera while talking. The father, who thought he was just hilarious, was not to be outdone by the mother as he mumbled throughout the movie, only to be understood when he was angered. I honestly don't understand how anyone could release a movie with such horrendous sound. The parents mumbled all the way to the end, the last part of the movie could have been scary, but we will never know. Don't waste your time with this one, you will just end up frustrated. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/17/24 Full Review Nina E It is not a masterpiece but it is very thrilling! Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/24/24 Full Review Aaron D Better than I thought, but not as good as it could have been. Having left this in the writing room for a bit more coherence and a reduction in suspension of disbelief and this movie could've hit better territory. Overall an ambitious and twisted movie that feels like a behind-the-scenes version of one of the Sinister tapes. Other thoughts: The ambiguity of the children's actions, (whether it's supernatural or biological) is an interesting dispute between a pastor husband and psychological wife and plays well in the development of the movie. The progression of the children's malice grows as the movie moves on, though glaring red flags of the children's actions is often ignored or downplayed. Some questions about the family's relationship is deconstructed but then promptly forgotten, or moved on from. The moments of evil committed are effectively communicated. The children actors do well for having a handful of lines, and the husband/wife connection is strong and convincing. Many instances of relying on the audience to suspend their disbelief. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 10/28/23 Full Review Audience Member Don't do it! Don't watch this... even if it's recommended on reddit in a "Most Underrated Found Footage Movies" thread by someone you trust. It's terribly boring for 95% of it before becoming OK for the last 5min. There are so many other better found footage movies to watch, ie Gonjiam: Haunted Asylum or Hell House LLC. The acting isn't that bad here which is good for a low budget found footage. It's the plot and the direction that are the problems. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/15/23 Full Review Read all reviews
