      Critics Consensus

Energetic but empty, 12 Rounds' preposterous plot hurtles along at a rapid pace, but can't disguise the derivative script.

Randy S Bad! Just Bad! I mean really, Really, REALLY BAD! Stunts were not believable (especially the street car scene), bad acting with meathead characters. But the worst part was the plot. Very perdictable and unoriginal. I was able to stay ahead of officer idiot (John Cena) because I have seen 2 movies. This crappy film is a really lame mix of them. Speed meets Die Hard With a Vengence. Pretty lazy effort on everyone's part. I would give a lower rating if I could. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 10/06/23 Full Review Regal R 75/100 - worth a watch through. takes you back to a different time. its interesting to see how cenas acting has changed over the years and how differently and politically charged films are today compared to even 10 years ago. films used to just be films, now theyre scripts for a political agenda. sad tbh. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/09/23 Full Review Audience Member John cena has not found his good acting yet. Over the top and not a fan Rated 1 out of 5 stars 12/13/22 Full Review Don J Stupid beyond belief Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 11/26/22 Full Review Audience Member It's a conventional, but still fun action flick. As usual Harlin handles all the action with flair and Cena proves he could be a solid lead, but not of this helps the fact that this is just a rather pedestrian action movie. Good for a rainy Saturday afternoon, but that's about it. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/05/22 Full Review Audience Member Besides the confusing action scenes, bad characters and basic plot my biggest problem with this movie is the villain. You just don't fear him, unlike Howard Payne in Speed (1994) when the main character actually confronts him he comes off as goofy. I'm sure Aiden Gillan is a good actor but he was definitely miscast in this movie. John Cena is alright but the character was not well written and he makes bad decisions. Over all pretty bad would not recommend. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/23/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
