Peter Debruge Variety All five of this year’s nominees are solid (sometimes quite sophisticated) treatments of their subjects. Mar 27, 2022 Full Review Josh Kupecki Austin Chronicle No one should look to the homogenous Academy for anything other than the status quo. All perfectly fine. But also: cautious and dull. Feb 24, 2022 Full Review Wesley Lovell Cinema Sight [on Audible] Yet, their disabilities increase the difficulties they face, but they approach them with courage and determination, wanting others to see them not as differently abled, but as completely normal. Rated: 3/4 Nov 26, 2022 Full Review James Verniere Boston Herald Films run the gamut from the usual heart-string tugging entries to the uplifting Queen of Basketball, a "Hidden Figures" of hoops. Rated: B- Mar 11, 2022 Full Review Robin Clifford Reeling Reviews My annual treat. Rated: B+ Mar 7, 2022 Full Review Patrick McDonald WBGR-FM (93.7 FM - Monroe, WI) Redemption with homelessness (LEAD ME HOME), deaf football players (AUDIBLE), history (THE QUEEN OF BASKETBALL) and war (THREE SONGS FOR BENAZIR). My favorite was WHEN WE WERE BULLIES, a 1960s childhood and bullying that could have happened to all of us. Rated: 4/5 Feb 26, 2022 Full Review Read all reviews
