On Christmas Eve, the lives of four desperate people intersect on the streets of Paris. Helly (Lubna Azabal) is a heroin-addicted prostitute desperate for her next fix but attempting to stay clean so that she can regain custody of her son. Didier (Benoît Magimel) is a cabdriver sliding into petty larceny. Well-heeled Marie (Bérangère Allaux) is coming to terms with her lesbianism, and jazz drummer Chris (Sami Bouajila) is attempting to deal with his father's recent suicide.

Audience Member Jalil Lespert's second outing as director is an interwoven tale of four people, each with their own problems, who's paths cross on Christmas Eve. Nothing remarkable acting wise or story wise, though it does flow pretty well until the last segment involving Sami Bouajila, which feels like it's just been tagged on at the end.
