Pablo O. Scholz Clarín [Director] Mikko Kuparinen... is abstracted in a pair of strangers in 2 Nights Till Morning. [Full review in Spanish] Dec 5, 2017 Full Review Fernando Lopez La Nación (Argentina) Miko Kuparien exhibits not only the delicacy with which he is able to describe the encounter, but also the one he uses to observe the small differences that will be uncovered as the coexistence is prolonged. [Full review in Spanish] Mar 27, 2017 Full Review T'Cha Dunlevy Montreal Gazette A Finnish DJ and a French architect walk into a bar: it doesn't sound like the most intriguing premise for a movie, but writer-director Mikko Kuparinen presses enough emotional buttons to keep things interesting in his debut feature. Audience Member Above average strangers meet in hotel flick. French movie (with some English) that doesn't bore you to death with yak, yak while moving at the speed of molasses. A French female architect and a Finnish DJ meet at a hotel, and wind up spending the better part of two days together. What happens when it is time for them to leave, she to France and he to a holiday in Dubai? It is actually worth finding out. Not a chick flick. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/20/23 Full Review john s Oh hey, the perfect one night stand: a couple of buff travellers from far away lands (Finland, France) on a brief Vilnius stopover, conveniently connect without the awkward hinderance of language. What could go wrong? How about volcanic ash grounding planes? Ouch. Everyone has hidden baggage, just waiting for that escape flight, but when delays force the issue that luggage starts to come out. Turns out there's way more to each of the strangers than meets the eye, and the series of reveals makes for quite a yummy movie. Tackling the age old male-female push and pull battle is twisted smartly here, as attraction and assumption makes for a dicey equation. What starts as a plain romance tale turns into a nifty cat and mouse game that eschews physicality for cerebral ventures. Relationships, even those quickies, are damn complicated.
