What to Know

Critics Consensus

31 delivers all the high-energy gore Rob Zombie fans have come to expect, but a lack of fresh ideas and likable characters mean only the already converted need apply.

Simon Abrams RogerEbert.com Zombie may not be working outside of his comfort zone, but 31 is one of his most impressive films to date. Rated: 3/4 Oct 21, 2016 Full Review Keith Uhlich Brooklyn Magazine Horror piles on horror, absurdity on absurdity, all of it treated by Zombie with carnivalesque abstraction. Oct 21, 2016 Full Review Noel Murray Los Angeles Times The Rob Zombie brand promises hard-core horror and scuzzy atmosphere, and "31" delivers just that. Even on autopilot, Zombie makes movies that hit hard and leave a stain. Oct 20, 2016 Full Review Patrick Cavanaugh The Wolfman Cometh Coming off the hypnotic, stylish, and divisive Lords of Salem, 31 is the absolute opposite end of the spectrum, making something visually and narratively abrasive and irritating. Tyler B You can't watch it, literally. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 11/13/24 Full Review Emma L 3.5/5 A bit cliche but overall great I personally think this is the best zombie film so far, it is a little cliche and predictable but I enjoyed it overall. The plot is simple but effective, making it easy to follow and with plenty of action and gore. It's a film that isn't too serious with its characters which I think works in its favour, Richard Drake steals the show entirely though, his portrayal of Doom Head is spot on. A great film to watch on halloween and one I would definitely watch again. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 09/13/24 Full Review Trevor B 31 was the worst movie I have ever seen in my life. The camera filming and acting is absolutely terrible!!! Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 06/01/24 Full Review Yuri M Everything feels like strange chaos Rated 3 out of 5 stars 05/29/24 Full Review Thirdi A solid action packed gory flick Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 05/28/24 Full Review Josh W While it has it's flaws, if you are looking for some fun horror then this is it. Also, you really can't go wrong with Malcolm McDowell. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/09/24 Full Review Read all reviews
