Logan D Lonely rich kid, Thomas, has two companions. His dog and his grandfather. Disgruntled after being fired by Thomas' mother, a former employee invades their house dressed as Santa Claus. And Thomas still believes in Santa. Hidden gem! I'm not sure I've ever heard of this film. Although similar in plot to Home Alone this movie was actually released first. I loved how Thomas is a capable defender of the household but we never lose sight of him being a child. Such a heartbreaking end! It's always hard when our innocence is challenged. Recommended! Rated 4 out of 5 stars 12/13/24 Full Review Fleegle B A awesome movie that I wish I could have on DVD Rated 5 out of 5 stars 12/30/23 Full Review Audience Member Starts off like some kind of French 'Home Alone' - but this villain is proper scary! I've got two films going on here… That dislocation makes the horror so much stronger. Good use of colour, music complements, amping it up. Adding the grampa, along with the hidden passage and the house in the park gives it that Faery Tale feel... and not the nice ones. And then we return to that really dark kid's film at the end! Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/26/23 Full Review Audience Member Awesome little thriller. It's a trip how similar this was to Home Alone, only taking a more serious route. The Santa here isn't just a one-dimensional killer, there's much more pathos given to him than is usually offered to these kinda parts. The kid here is really cute and a total badass. Why can't more characters in these types of films be more realistic and this well thought out? Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/31/23 Full Review adam b WOW. This house is literally a splitting image of a kids fantasy. Also I've never seen home alone so I really can't comment on the similarities/differences but from what I observed, this film is probably more my style Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review michael d What a weird, wild little movie. Good holiday viewing. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Read all reviews
