In the hopes of joining the ranks of the elite Musketeers of the Guard, a particularly short D'Artagnan (Tin Tan) sets off on a borrowed horse for Paris. D'Artagnan misplaces his letter of introduction and -- unaware of a ban on public swashbuckling -- becomes the target of authorities when he demonstrates his swordsmanship to a trio of musketeers. After evading capture, D'Artagnan finds himself enlisted to accompany the musketeers on a dangerous mission for the queen.
