Audience Member Great movie about A great man! Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/23/23 Full Review Audience Member Not the most accurate film about Earnhardt or Nascar but still a fine little movie. Pepper played Earnhardt well, the same as JK Simmons as his father and Elizabeth Mitchell looking fine too. But the rest of supporting cast was hit and miss. Not too shabby for a TV movie, but if you want a more accurate film about his family life, friends, and career. watch the Documentary called "Dale." This one deals better with his his childhood and journey to Nascar instead. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/28/23 Full Review Audience Member As someone who was a loyal stock car racing fan and someone who grew up in the shadow of motor racing, I had nothing but the highest respect for Dale Earnhardt. Barry Pepper does one hell of a fantastic job portraying one of the greatest NASCAR drivers of all time. From his have nothing roots, the death of his father to his break in racing and going on to be the greatest on the track, this film hits nothing but the highlights. A lot of details (such as his rivalry and then friendship with Darrell Waltrip or the forming of his own race team) are put aside to keep the story moving but its not all bad. There are a few great supporting actors to fill the roles (including a real look a like Dale Jr.) and of course some fantastic racing footage. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/21/23 Full Review Audience Member Obligatory movie after his death, but it wasn't that impressive. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/21/23 Full Review Audience Member Obligatory movie after his death, but it wasn't that impressive. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/16/23 Full Review Audience Member While race fans will no doubt point out the inaccuracies within ESPN's new biopic on the NASCAR legend, 3 does a wonderful job of conveying the problematic life of a high speed and high risk race car driver. There are times where the film dives into very contrived cliches, but Barry Pepper is a brilliant lead and the final sequence is one of the best I've ever seen in a movie.
