J Wallter F This is a remarkable film for those interested in trauma and how traumatic stress can change your life. As mere boys, the authors were the sole survivors of a small plane crash that took the lives of their parents and children-- and left them to survive for three days in snowy winter conditions. The book is a great read-- an adventure story from reality-- and paired with Bessel van der Kolk's NYT best seller on how trauma works, The Body Keeps the Score, will teach the reader a great deal about trauma, and how modern day trauma psychiatry goes about dealing with trauma's aftermath. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/07/23 Full Review Elizabeth S Shows the pain and healing after a tragedy. I found it very encouraging to see how the brothers in the film worked through their trauma, which was quite distinct because of their physical outcomes. They both seemed very thoughtful and honest and willing to be vulnerable in order to help others. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/07/23 Full Review Read all reviews
