Tim Cogshell FilmWeek (KPCC - NPR Los Angeles) Deeply moving -- I liked it quite a lot. Sep 16, 2019 Full Review Joe Leydon Variety Larry Clarke's debut effort as writer-director is an affecting dramedy about a family dealing with a fading paterfamilias. Sep 13, 2019 Full Review Frank Scheck Hollywood Reporter The high-wire tonal balancing act proves a little wobbly at times, resulting in a film that feels less than the sum of its parts. But some of those parts work very well, providing moments of uncomfortable hilarity and genuine poignancy. Sep 13, 2019 Full Review Richard Propes TheIndependentCritic.com A flawed yet entertaining film. Rated: 2.5/4.0 Sep 24, 2020 Full Review Jackie K. Cooper jackiekcooper.com Depressing story about death, but the cast manages to engage the audience and keep them attuned to the different nuances of the film. Rated: 6/10 Sep 27, 2019 Full Review Stephanie Archer Film Inquiry 3 Days With Dad does not deliver to the audience what it promises, presenting an exercise in patience that goes one day to long. Col W Death and it's aftermath affects people in different ways. I found some of the beginning tedious, I dislike a lot of people talking at once and over each other - I can never understand it, but it got better and so each family member had their own story, at the same time dealing with the death of their Dad. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 08/07/23 Full Review gabriele s This movie moved me to tears at times. Anyone who has ever gone through losing a family member will be able to relate. Clarke captured the drama and trauma of family dynamics beautifully and all the performances are honest, captivating and on point. (Was also delighted to see the once-ubiquitous Warren on screen again!) Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Read all reviews
