      What to Know

      Critics Consensus

3 from Hell may be of interest to fans of the trilogy, but those not already on board with Rob Zombie's gory saga will find little to lure them in here.

Marc Z This movie has some good elements. I like that Zombie takes the concept and continues it without rehashing too much, or trading too much off the prior films. That being said, this one is not great as a stand alone project. It works as the viewers desire to see a conclusion to the Firefly trilogy. The filmmaking is still strong. The Direction, editing, and Cinematography are still of the quality you expect from Rob Zombie- who has established himself as an adept filmmaker. The images are graphic and this is still day and gross. It has morphed from a horror film to an outlaw film and the danger is relating too much to the stars, who are the worst kind of evil. This trilogy is epic filmmaking and the three films work really well together. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 12/09/23 Full Review Montgomery M horrible. boring. bland. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 09/12/23 Full Review Nate L Basically the same thing as Devil's Rejects but worse. The conclusion of the second film was the perfect way to end the Firefly family story, so this film felt like an unneeded addition. The lack of Sid Haig also took away some of the charm in this film. The movie was still enjoyable and watchable, just not nearly as good as the last two films. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 08/07/23 Full Review Alain M it was nothing more then a pass time indeed, the formula is wearing off and the fact that captain Spaulding was not even part of it, made a lot less more interesting to see. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 05/23/23 Full Review HDAWG H AWESOME FILM...Stay attentive...Not really what I expect from Rob Zombie, of course I expect ALOT more from his imagination of how he can pull attention 100% not only on film but music as well.... Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 05/31/23 Full Review T T It's an idiotic movie by Rob Zombie. It's a huge mess with bad acting, bad CGI effects, and no plot/storyline. Yet, miraculously, it still managed to be wildly entertaining and keep my interest for almost 2 hours. I am very surprised that I didn't switch off this mess or watch something else, despite the serious mediocrity of this movie. So, it's definitely entertaining and will pass the time. It's just a very low quality movie, on all levels. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/11/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Scout Tafoya RogerEbert.com 3 from Hell has moments of abject horror, but fans of Zombie's autumnal provocations will be rewarded with his most earnest and laid back nightmare yet... Rated: 4/4 Mar 2, 2021 Full Review Steve Newton earofnewt.com ...the coolest thing by far is the inclusion on the soundtrack of three songs from the James Gang's 1973 Bang album, featuring Tommy Bolin on guitar. Rated: 2.5/5 May 11, 2020 Full Review Noel Murray Los Angeles Times This one's really for diehard Zombie fans ... provided they weren't hoping he'd hit them with something new. Oct 18, 2019 Full Review Trace Thurman Horror Queers Podcast It's the weakest of the Firefly trilogy, but that's not to say it's not completely without merit. It's certainly at its best when Sheri Moon Zombie is front and center. Rated: 3/5 Dec 30, 2020 Full Review Keri O'Shea Warped Perspective 3 From Hell looks every inch the Rob Zombie movie; its aesthetics follow a familiar pattern, and he seems quite content to just let his characters amble on through their days, resurrected largely to take one more road trip. Jul 16, 2020 Full Review Ryan Larson Ghastly Grinning 3 From Hell is a high octane firestorm of frenzied violence and disarmingly charming character chemistry. While it's not a needed sequel, or perhaps end cap, to the series, it's definitely a fun one. Jun 24, 2020 Full Review Read all reviews
