Jeffrey M. Anderson Combustible Celluloid The action scenes here are very rough and fumbled, but I found this one... ludicrously entertaining. May 22, 2009 Full Review Read all reviews

Audience Member A real fun, this is really absurd and swinging sixties and loaded with guns and action .I think Woody Allen bought it and dubbed it and renamed it "What's up Tiger Lili?" Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/24/23 Full Review Audience Member A serviceable little crime drama which doesn't match its convoluted script with a decent visual flair to keep you invested. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/02/23 Full Review Audience Member It's eat or be eaten. Yabuki is a Japanese spy that is after some jewels that are some mobsters are trying to capture. Yabuki seems to encounter them in several spy-like settings and crazy shootouts ensue. Can Yabuki fetch the diamonds or will he get gunned down in one of the epic battles? "After we finish with your niece it's your turn!" Motomu Ida, director of The Dragon's Fangs, Heart of Stone, Secret Zone of Tokyo, and Tokyo Bath Harem, delivers 3 Seconds Before Explosion. The storyline for this picture is a bit cliché and all over the place. The action scenes are overdone and the plot was disappointing. The cast delivers mediocre performances and includes Akira Kobayashi, Hideki Takahashi, and Ryoji Hayama. "How many people have you killed with that?" "Mind your own business." I grabbed this movie off Netflix because I generally enjoy old Yakuza movies. Unfortunately, this movie just seemed like an excuse to make a "shoot-em up" picture. Overall, this is a very mediocre picture that doesn't add much to the genre. "There's a limit to human endurance." Grade: C Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/19/23 Full Review Read all reviews
