      What to Know

      Critics Consensus

47 Meters Down: Uncaged may not be as ruthlessly efficient as its finned villains, but fans of shark peril thrillers should find it just chummy enough.

tosha absolutely loved it!!! better than the first. few jump scares though Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/04/19 Full Review alesia cain I loved the movie beginning and end was great. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/12/19 Full Review Rashond Its a shark Movie know what your getting into people. Great movie better than the original. If you like shark movies, I recommend. If you want to complain about how unrealistic the movie is dont see shark movies Rated 4 out of 5 stars 10/11/19 Full Review Whitney M Great movie especially the moments that had you jumping highly recommend going to see this movie Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/03/19 Full Review Nicholas Decent jump scares but the story and dialog was cheesy. Producing enough force underwater to knock over a statue and collapse a cave was just awful. Characters werent relatable and inconsistent. Some moments they were really smart and others they just screamed and acted stupid. Also there was a ridiculous amount of moaning and breathing while characters were swimming. Im not convinced that our characters were high schoolers. The ending had excessive surprise attacks Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 09/28/19 Full Review Beicherly ok for a shark movie. Jake Wilson The Age (Australia) The film ups the ante on its predecessor, resulting in a pure, rather beautiful example of genre as ritual. Rated: 3.5/5 Oct 30, 2019 Full Review Richard Whittaker Austin Chronicle In a summer when Alexandre Aja made the creature feature feel fresh again with Crawl, the ocean's most graceful apex predator undoubtedly loses out to a bunch of dumb Florida gators. Rated: 1.5/5 Aug 22, 2019 Full Review Chris Stuckmann ChrisStuckmann.com A fish screams underwater... so there is some enjoyment to be had. Just not the kind you might expect. Rated: F Aug 22, 2019 Full Review Manuel São Bento MSB Reviews It doesn’t try to introduce compelling characters, the shark sequences fall flat for the most part, and the screenplay is filled with laughable plot points. For an 89-minute runtime, it astounds me how it can’t be slightly entertaining, to say the least. Rated: D- Jul 24, 2023 Full Review Tom Beasley VultureHound This is a fun movie in which fairly ropey CGI sharks tear chunks out of characters who repeatedly make terrible decisions in service of the narrative. Rated: 3/5 Aug 16, 2020 Full Review Avaryl Halley Movie Bitches It was kind of fun, it had some spooky stuff, it had a good setting. May 22, 2020 Full Review Read all reviews
