Audience Member set in brisbane! go brisvegas. I really liked this for some reason. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/19/23 Full Review Audience Member Not really very memorable... maybe why it didn't get s widely advertised. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/18/23 Full Review Audience Member It's good to see an author from my home town of Brisbane get a film made about his story, and what not better that to make the film in Brissy. But having not read the book, I really did not think the film did the story or Brsibane justice. Despite being backed by some high profile Australian film commissions, 48 shades looks and feels seriously under budgeted. The acting is only a smidge over terrible and has the feel of film made for an assignment at university. The only real talent amongst it all is played by the character of Jaq, Dan's young auntie, apart from that I'll be surprised to see any of these actors again. But despite it all, it was easy to watch and did have some original, quirky and funny bits. The book is probably pretty good, but has a 'There's Something About Mary' feel to it (minus a lot of talent) and seems quite sadly predictable. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/17/23 Full Review Audience Member From what I saw of this movie I enjoyed it. Although into the last part of the movie the copy of the movie I had borrowed from the library was so badly scratched (why can't people look after the library DVD's? It's not too much to ask for people to be considerate with things that don't belong to them) Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/05/23 Full Review Audience Member This Australian film contained some of the most awkward moments I can remember in a film. The film also contained some of the most accurate scenes of teenage and young adult years. There may not be too much spectacular about the film, but it at least managed to hold my interest until the end. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/02/23 Full Review Audience Member the movie was alright but the book is way better Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/15/23 Full Review Read all reviews
