72 Hours is a frustrating and deeply disappointing film. From start to finish, it struggles to find any sense of engagement, primarily due to a catastrophically flawed screenplay. The plot collapses under its own weight repeatedly, with every attempt at tension or intrigue falling flat, leaving the viewer disconnected and confused. While the actors put forth effort, the writing offers them nothing substantial to work with, and their performances are inevitably undermined by the lack of coherent character development. Pacing is uneven, and the story meanders without focus, creating an exhausting viewing experience. Even moments that might have offered emotional weight are overshadowed by clunky dialogue and disjointed storytelling. Directorial choices do little to elevate the material, and the film never recovers from its structural issues. Overall, 72 Hours is an avoidable misfire, failing to deliver on both narrative and emotional fronts, leaving audiences frustrated and unsatisfied.
