Politically speaking, that’s myopic, but even if we just look at that narratively, it’s mundane and derivative. That aside, 7500 is very well made. There’s a pragmatism in Vollrath’s direction that grounds the experience and makes it more visceral.

Muito interessante principalmente se analisarmos que a abordagem foca em se manter 100% do tempo dentro do cockpit do avião com o protagonista Gordon-Levittse que sai muito bem, e segura todas as cenas com talento, o filme se perde no seu terceiro e derradeiro ato, o desenvolvimento poderia ser melhor, o clima de tensão se perde, bem como a tentativa dramática, que falha e deixa a desejar com o desfecho ameno e previsível… Mas ainda, sim, valido o esforço, satisfatório na entrega....

As far as single-scene thrillers go, this injects a refreshing amount of realism into the genre. There are no elaborate plot twists or emotional set pieces. Everything happens in real time and the characters react exactly how you might expect them to. They behave like people, not actors. Strategic camera work and audio cues make it seem a lot less claustrophobic despite taking place entirely in the cockpit. At times, it almost feels like a found-footage film given how minimalist the dialogue and visuals are. I'm usually not a fan of all that but it comes together very nicely here, culminating into a decent flight flick held up by a brilliant performance from Joseph G Levitt. Perhaps the movie could've been 10 minutes shorter as the ending drags out, but it always feels like there's something worthwhile going on. Set aside 90 minutes to watch it and you'll be glad.

This is a really well acted and directed film. Refreshing to see such a believable piece of drama on screen. Excellent and realistic performances from everyone. I cannot recommend this film highly enough. Hidden gem.
