Audience Member Not sure why the low rating. This is a really good family movie that I really enjoyed. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/27/20 Full Review Audience Member This was literally one of the worst movies I have ever seen. Horrible acting across the board. Jason Priestly was a total pushy throughout and it didn't help that he was paired with tall women, not to mention the bear with a vendetta toward the wife....I guess he likes blonds...lol. This movie was a disaster from start to finish. I'm kinda disappointed that I watched it all. My bad. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/29/23 Full Review Audience Member The music was ridiculous cheesy. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/10/18 Full Review Audience Member This taut, family-friendly adventure from Canada follows the plight of the Childs family - author Robert (Jason Priestley), his second wife Teresa (Andrea Roth), and Robert's 16-year-old daughter from his first marriage, Christy (Genevieve Buechner) - who get pushed to the brink of disaster when their boat crashes during a storm and leaves them stranded on an uninhabited, rocky island in the middle of a wild, raging river. Although the family knows discord all too well given the widening rift between Christy and stepmom Teresa, they must set aside misgivings and help one another survive the treacheries of an unforgiving wilderness, especially given Robert's grave wounds from the accident. The loss of supplies with the sunken boat makes the situation even direr, and the family's needs grow more pressing when they must subdue a voracious bear. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/21/23 Full Review Audience Member This is a very poorly made movie. Dialog was as stiff as the actors. Situations are quite silly. Grizzly chases them, and somehow they outrun it. Boat doesn't sink...provides shelter and open beach...what do they do....go into the forest. Bear scenes are repeated and obviously cut in. Just a bad movie overall. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/17/23 Full Review Audience Member The acting wasn't bad, it was just...not good. I wouldn't recommend this one unless you're a fan of ABC Family made for TV type movies. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 01/12/23 Full Review Read all reviews
