Frank Scheck The Hollywood Reporter Although boasting impressive visual sheen, Ryde proves by-the-numbers horror. Sep 15, 2017 Full Review Kimber Myers Los Angeles Times There are some nice visuals set to a synth score, and the streets of Los Angeles play a primary role. However, this slick and stylish exterior belies a rotting core underneath. Sep 14, 2017 Full Review Read all reviews

CK i SPOILERS AHEAD: Filmmaker has an obvious fetish for punching women, which is pretty disturbing, even for a horror flick. Final girl has a controlling, asshole boyfriend that she repeatedly puts up with, and yet she instantly decides to fight back to escape the psycho? And stays with loser BF in the end? So many flaws in the story and characters' choices. Slick photography, credible fight scenes, great production value, and lovely shots of LA at night, but what a waste. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 10/01/24 Full Review Aldo G A shallow ripoff of Taxi Driver that goes nowhere except through a thoroughfare of murder. Performances, though, are solid especially Jessica Serfaty. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 05/04/24 Full Review Melissa L It was as expected. Crazy, killer driver of a rideshare company...although there's a twist. It's okay. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/19/24 Full Review sean s Strange movie... The acting and photography seemed fine to me unlike some of the reviews that I read. Basically, it is about some dude with some heavy issues who loves killing people. He bumps off an Uber driver and takes his car cruising around L.A. at night. If you like watching people getting killed brutally, which I don't, you might enjoy this. That said, there are a couple of characters in it that are really annoying that you don't mind seeing getting it. It is probably some goofy deal that some ex Uber driver wrote about his annoyances of being on the job. This was one of those late night Amazon skimming deals that filled in the time. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member It feels like it had a budget and there are slick cinematic scenes of LA with an ominous synth soundtrack and the idea of a ridesharing murder has potential. The acting and script unfortunately drive Ryde straight off a cliff. An absolutely awful movie that is terrifying only in the sense that you have wasted 90 minutes. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/13/23 Full Review Audience Member Loved it. Clever plot and characters are well developed. Super creepy. Hope there's a sequel.
