Leslie Felperin Guardian It is not hard to work out where this is going if you just do the maths. Still, there’s a certain amount of nasty fun to be had... Rated: 2/5 Oct 17, 2023 Full Review Joel Harley Starburst The body count may be a foregone conclusion, but the charm is in the journey there. In this respect, 8 Found Dead is an entertaining, if slightly bumpy, ride. Rated: 3/5 Oct 27, 2023 Full Review Jennie Kermode Eye for Film 8 Found Dead is a nice little puzzle but sadly, in the end, it lacks the depth to be more than that. Rated: 3/5 Oct 9, 2023 Full Review Nathaniel Muir Morbidly Beautiful There is enough here to keep audiences watching. There are a few funny moments and some of the forays into full blown horror are a refreshing change of pace. 8 Found Dead can be a little too overbearing at times, but there is some enjoyment to be found. Sep 8, 2023 Full Review Josh Bell Crooked Marquee The would-be victims are largely annoying, and the movie just marks time until returning to their inevitable killings. Rated: C Sep 5, 2023 Full Review Norman Gidney HorrorBuzz The shining stars here are writer Jonathan Buchanan and director Travis Greene who construct a complicated collection of parallel narratives that render a savagely entertaining movie. Elliot M Love this film, absolutely unexpected turn of events. I feel like I’ve been there, yet I feel lost and about to die at any moment. Love the time frame match ups. It feels like we’re in the moment, yet unraveling the past with each set of characters in real time. 11/10 Rated 5 out of 5 stars 07/22/24 Full Review Nikki P Absolute predictable shite! Waste of a Fri night.x😬 Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 05/31/24 Full Review David P I loved it! Idk what the audience is saying. It was campy and fun. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/19/24 Full Review Lilianna P It had the potential to be really good but it fell short. It ended up just being really wierd and not in a good way. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 11/20/23 Full Review Tom K Wasn't able to check it out at Screamfest '22, but I believe it won the award for best screenplay as well as best director. However, I finally got to see it when it went to VOD. I enjoyed the watch. I think some viewers rate all films equally, low-budget indie films with limited takes, locations, shooting days, cast constraints, and footage, the same as huge-budget films that spend more money on their lunch catering than indies like this get to spend on every element combined. But to each their own. I enjoyed several of the performances, and for me, the movie was more suspenseful than horror, as it was a lot of figuring out who the 8 found dead would be at the end and the reveal. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 11/06/23 Full Review B P While not everything works in ‘8 Found Dead', the film is ultimately an entertaining experience featuring two incredible unhinged performances from the central antagonists.
