Audience Member this movie is bad. like, really bad. how bad? if "the room" is the "citizen kane" of terrible movies, "a get2gether" might be the "dr. strangelove" of mediocre movies. i would normally never even think this was something i should watch but a friend strongly recommended it and requested i at least sit through 20 minutes. after that i was pretty much transfixed by the glacial pacing, the barrage of flat jokes, character development that pretty much ends after you find out the person's basic relationship to the protagonist (or not), the conservative and mildly homophobic tone, the endlessly disingenuous weed references, the early 90s wardrobe in a movie that's supposed to be taking place in the mid-00s, the adult appearance of a bunch of people who are supposed to be high school or early college age, the surprise dramatic twists that are total cop-outs, and even a deus ex machina ending. it's a pretty much unwatchable blunder of a film...that i will most likely buy on dvd if i ever see it anywhere.
