Barbara V We haven’t finished the movie yet because we thought it looked like a family movie, and there is no cussing…but there is a little violence and suggested violence (fist fighting/brawl and a guy pointing a rifle at the other guy’s head-also the first thing that happens is a truck crashing and exploding and apparently the guy driving would be dead) but worst is the guy being tempted to reconnect with his high school sweetheart who is now a married woman. The flirting and suggestion of impending adultery is yucky and not really something we want our kids to see. It’s a good reminder of why people shouldn’t get too physically involved with anyone until they are married, though. Too emotionally complicating. Otherwise, the acting isn’t the best- it has some nice natural scenes and the music is ok but in parts covers the speaking parts so you don’t know what was said. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 10/29/24 Full Review Audience Member I worked on the crew of this film, it was the only film my Dad ever got involved with that I worked. Gary Morris, our star, was terrible. Tracy Kristopherson, daughter of Kris, was wonderful. The show was stolen by Niki Dunnaway, the little girl, and by, believe it or not, BoxCar Willie, he was GREAT. Then there is John Beck, one of the most UNDERrated actors in history, he's played villians on SO many friggin tv shows, he is a great actor, person & friend. It also marked the motion picture appearance of one of the worst actors in history, local DJ, Woody P Snow, a talentless oaff, with delusions of celebrity. Can't say enough great things about 90% of the crew, they were wonderful. Peter Wolf was our Cinematographer, he is deaf, which made him THAT much more gifted for his craft. Overall it was a great experience making a film here in my home of the Ozark Mountains. I just wish y'all could see the LONG version, it is SO much better. Although I don't think much of Gary Morris the actor, he is one hell of a singer and musician, we also had Juice Newton and John Hornsby who were great, with a very special appearance by Steve Wairner. Got an albumn up on my page, check'em out !
