steve d There isn't much to it and it is not especially well written. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member All the principal actors were soon to become major television stars, and thus known to every person in the English-speaking world. Carolyn Jones is hauntingly beautiful. The fare is standard sitcom, so the kids would love it. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/16/23 Full Review Audience Member This was on after Advance to the Rear, so I made it a triple feature DVR extravaganza. I like Shirley Jones and I like Red Buttons, but they were not able to save this dull movie. The worst part is the big, idiotic scene at the end. Note to filmmakers: Don't make your big finale the stupidest part of your film, especially if the rest of your film is mostly suckage. Sigh... Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/14/23 Full Review Audience Member What can only be described as a sweet film, this family comedy is bright and sunny even when the situation takes a turn for the perilous. Full of sprightly performances this is the kind of film that rarely gets made anymore and when it does is drowned in sugary sentiment. The Jones girls, Shirley and Carolyn are both most engaging, play well off each other and look great. In Carolyn's case this might be the most attractive she ever was on screen. As the men in their lives Gig Young get a rare chance to be the romantic lead who doesn't lose the girl in the end performing with his customary charming agility. Red Buttons provides comic relief but his character is more than that and he does it well, he and Carolyn are a surprisingly compatible couple. A film that will leave you charmed at the conclusion this should really be more widely known. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Audience Member So funny, but also so hard to find...sad.
