See more 09/04/2008 A travelogue of the Chilean port city of Valparaiso, in particular its many distinguishing features such as the extensive network of cable lifts and staircases that connect the lower, wealthy seaside section with the slums on hilly part of the city. Lots of fascinating images of the city and its people mixed with artworks illustrating its bloody history provides plenty of material for Chris Marker's vivid and eloquent commentary, which he reported wrote in just 2 days.
