blakecpa This movie was total crap. It is a cheap ripoff of Fatal Attraction, using B-List, soap opera actors. While the whole "married man has an affair, and the mistress then goes nuts when she can't have him" thing can make for an interesting story, and was... that one time... when Fatal Attraction brought it to the screen; It didn't need to be made again, especially with this low-rent crap. Unfortunately of us viewers, this film's premise is based on something beyond ridiculous. Get this: there wasn't even an actual affair. Two people wind up chatting on the Internet (the late-1990s version of texting) and that was it. They chatted. They do this a few times, each daydreaming of a possible hookup as they type away; however, they never actually hooked up. After a few sessions of this, the dude feels guilty and stops chatting with the woman. That's when she goes crazy and sets out to destroy his life. Implausibly, she has total access to his life, including bank accounts, his house, his office, and even his files at work. She sets out to wreck all of that. If that wasn't enough, she even starts murdering people around him. Makes perfect sense, right? Someone is going to do all of this because someone they chatted with exited the chat. Did I mention that they never even hooked up? Omg, it's SO ridiculous. At least Fatal Attraction was somewhat believable. Anyway, the plagiarism continues as this movie predictably features the "cop that doesn't believe the guy", the "pet you think will be killed", and the "mistress" befriending the man's wife towards the end of the movie. The scene where the former keyboard-lovers are battling it out in a hospital room (her using the defibrillator paddles to attack him was a classic), completely unnoticed by anyone, while his wife is down the hall pushing out a baby, was the cherry on this horrendous sundae. 1/2 a star was too generous. It is crap. Go watch Fatal Attraction again instead. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 08/24/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
