Christmastime is here. Happiness and cheer. And for Peanuts fans everywhere, it just wouldn't be Christmas without this classic holiday delight. Christmas lights may be twinkling red and green, but Charlie Brown has the Yuletide blues. To get in the holiday spirit, he takes Lucy's advice and directs the Christmas play. And what's a Christmas play without a Christmas tree? But everyone makes fun of the short, spindly nevergreen Charlie Brown brings back - until the real meaning of Christmas works its magic once again

AV Club Staff AV Club The special ends on a joyous note, and the lo-fi charms of its non-professional voice cast and simple-yet-expressive animation retain a pleasantly transportive power. Nov 29, 2018 Full Review Kevin Fallon The Daily Beast No other film just feels like Christmas the way that this one does. Dec 5, 2022 Full Review Carson Timar ButteredPopcorn While the core and visuals work well enough, the story just isn't there and at nearly every turn the special alienates itself from modern audiences. Ryan J Greatest Christmas special there is Rated 5 out of 5 stars 12/24/24 Full Review Jen T The movie that almost didn't make it to production. Love it Rated 5 out of 5 stars 12/23/24 Full Review Dionisis T Kinda boring but I loved its atmosphere! Rated 3 out of 5 stars 12/19/24 Full Review Harkeen B No other movie is quite the same as this one during the Christmas time. The nostalgia from "A Charlie Brown Christmas" when I was a child. I would recommend everyone to watch this during the holidays!! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 12/06/24 Full Review Joel H Whenever I watched A Charlie Brown Christmas as a kid, I thought it was a little dull and a little sad. And, to be honest, I still think that. However, it's also endearing. I love hearing the child actors piece together sentences. It also has a great message about cutting through the commercialization of the season and focusing on the true meaning of Christmas. The animation is rough and fairly simplistic, but that just adds to the childlike wonder this TV special inspires. So while this movie (especially "Christmas Time is Here") may bring me down a bit, I can see why it has endured for so many years. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 12/03/24 Full Review Audience Member one of my favourite movies out there. perfect to watch with the family or just by yourself. enjoyable and always a classic. great music and entertaining.
