Bonnie B The first time I watched this movie, I was studying and it was probably on Netflix or a similar streaming app. Normally these types of movies get 4 stars max, but this one is worth a bit more, in my opinion. The plot itself has been played out, sure. It’s predictable, just like every other movie like it. Yet, it had something other movies like it don’t have. I don’t know what it is, but it held my interest enough to put my study materials down and watch it. Then, I watched it again. Now I watch it every year, because I like it that much. It’s a “pretty” movie. The actors are stunning, including the “villainess”. The costumes, the lighting, the music—it all works very well together. The chemistry between the two main characters works well. It might have a slight cheating vibe, which stinks, but it was at least understandable. I first saw this movie when it first came out, and I watched it again a few days ago. I will probably watch it again next year. It’s that good. This is not just a great movie for Christmas ; I watch this one all year . One down side ....the acting is not great ; boarderline mediocre . It comes off on the verge of being genuine and the script doesn't have dialog that is equal to the plot or the characters themselves .
