07/27/2022 LOL, the funniest 01 hour: and 49 minutes ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! See more 01/10/2019 Quite a heartwarming movie by my opinion. The humor was not forced and the characters worked really well together. The movie did a great job of tying together all the stories of the different characters. Definitley a good film to watch. 11/10 would see again. I'm not sure why this movie has such bad reviews on RT, if you like foriegn movies this is one of the best. See more 12/21/2018 A Cool Fish is an original comedy with a rather absurd characteristic manifested by Sichuan dialect, which is a significant cultural aspect of this film that cannot be easily translated and fathomed by foreigners. The main characters depicted by the film are quite realistic and attractive without using pretentious mushy plots and stereotypes of the poor. The absurdity of specific plots, say the robbery scene, brings about a rather humorous atmosphere. Too bad that I'm not a professional, that I cannot present a convincing review with academic knowledge. However, I hope the critics can be less condescending and a little more modest towards Chinese culture. There is clearly a cultural gap in between that thwart this film to attain a higher score.
