I decided to watch this movie because after watching When Calls the Heart with Daniel Lissing I wanted to watch some of his other films. His acting did not disappoint but there was no chemistry between him and Jessica. I was not impressed with Jessicas performance. I am pretty sure she got the part because she looked the part. The story line could also have used some tweaking. It just did not flow. Daniel Lissing plays Seth who ends up in a fake engagement with Layla after her cousin marries her old flame. Seth and Layla become closer and closer as the lies of their fake engagement become ever more complex. Will they admit their feelings to each other before it's too late? Do I really need to tell you? It's a Christmas movie! The Hallmark folks know what they are doing! They have put the stars from When Calls the Heart into various Christmas movies. I will always tune in for Daniel Lissing!!
