Gary Goldstein Los Angeles Times Ultimately ... it's the stranger-than-fiction nature of this eye-opening tale that makes the film so vital and involving. Nov 14, 2017 Full Review Read all reviews

Audience Member Content is good and interesting but production is poor. Maybe the worst part is displaying credentials of experts as one simultaneously attempts to quickly read the subtitles of non-English speakers or similar thick accents. Also tows the line at times between just telling the story versus slanting an unclear agenda. Hmmm. End of the day, did at least learn new information on the topic. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 12/02/18 Full Review Audience Member An amateurish mess that ends in an odd neo-conservative attack on the nuclear deal with ÷ran. It does provide an interesting account of the sad wanderings of a leader who walked away from a revolution, and was too indecisive to stand up even for his own medical care. But the lack of basic film-making abilities on the part of the director makes even this hard to sit through. And the fact that the Shah had already walked away does leave one questioning what is the historical significance of the whole matter. Sad, in its way. Pathetic. But by his death, the Shah was merely an inconvenience, shuttled here and there, not someone who could any longer affect the course of history.
