A Great Awakening shows, quite powerfully at times, how religious belief can shape political thinking and action, but it would be a real shame to mistake it for a simplistic Christian nationalist screed. Go to Full Review

the story is appealing in an old fashioned, old orator declaratory fashion, but the story squints aplenty and uses the bombastic style to disguise the pacing issues. Go to Full Review

Joe 1d Great untold historical stoty See more Deborah S 2d Loved it! Especially that it is supposed to be historically true. That George Whitefield was one of the Forgotten Founding Fathers is important to shout from the rooftops. I loved the acting, the actors, the plot and the fact that it portrays our country being founded on God and biblical principles and we were and that needs to not be forgotten. ITs why we have been so great for so long. Let us not lose the Lords favor! May we as a country go back to those beliefs again! See more Steve and Elaine Herring 4d Superb quality film. The writers, cast and crew brought to life the greatest awakening in history — the greatest spiritual event in history — the salvation of man’s soul through Jesus Christ tied to the birth of our American heritage. See more Donna S 5d very powerful. and educational. See more Michelle 5d In a word? Great. Longer take: this was a touching faith based historical account that did not pander to Woke Hollywood's attempt to infuse narrative or revisionist version of history... it also did not imbed hate of America or white straight males as so many films do these days. On the movie itself, it was well written, and actors performed very good. Art direction and musical score fit the immersion and you felt as if you were in the 18th cen. I would recommend this film and wish more theaters were "scared" to show it and advertise it. It was a challenge to find showings. See more Jenny S. 6d What a well done movie. I cried, was inspired and felt all types of emotions. Its about time this country gets back to God! See more Read all reviews
