J. Horton’s A Hard Place wears its potential on its sleeve. However, this creature feature can’t get out of the tight place it stumbles into. It’s a shame because the film could’ve been a fun monster mash.

This was a mid movie. A lot of bland parts, mixed with some fun parts. You can always tell when a bunch of halfwit northerners made a movie. Their idea of how deep mountain Southerners speak is so blatantly off it's astounding. Yankees really are the worst sometimes. Anyways, it could have been a lot better if they had good writers and some actual southern actors. Can't recommend.

This movie looked promising and had a great cast with Bai Ling doing a cameo, and lead roles with Felissa Rose and Lynn Lowry. It then did something weird. The pacing was off, the story dry, the acting forced, and the ending which should have been a dramatic showdown was dull. There were too many characters which were so similar they lost my interest as to what happened to them. I think a different editor could have made a difference in the pacing and story telling. A smaller cast would have helped keep me engaged. The soundtrack was also not interesting, it did not move the end fight along in particulatlr. Sadly, it brought nothing to the scenes.
