What to Know

Critics Consensus

A darker and spookier spin on Branagh's Poirot, A Haunting in Venice is a decent Halloween snack whose undemanding mystery gets a lift from nifty visuals and an all-star cast.

A Haunting in Venice is an entertaining mystery that's just scary enough -- as long as you're able to stick with it after a slow start.

Boots McGee this movie was so quiet and slow paced it triggered the 5 teens behind me that their parents had entrusted to the theater to babysit. they were inspired by the movie's slow pacing and moody backdrops to kick our chairs, scroll social media with the sound on, and take selfies with a flash. there were a party of teens, and one other couple besides us. with an empty echoey theater + soft speaking of the movie + raucous teens. we left after 45 minutes. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 09/24/24 Full Review Hunter Despite being like a horror film, this was somehow less depressing than the Hercule Poirot mystery, which makes it much more entertaining Rated 4 out of 5 stars 09/22/24 Full Review Britt!
